Have you ever thought about the different types of writing in the Bible? There’s stories, songs, poetry, history, and of course prophecies!
But did you know there are mysteries too?
One of those mysteries are the Urim and Thummim, they’re a part of the special outfit the high priest wore in the Old Testament.
We’re not exactly sure what the Urim and Thummim were (although they were likely some kind of stone), but one idea is that they were two different colored gems held in a bag next to the priest’s heart. They were used to ask God what to do, like whether to fight a battle or not, and they might have even glowed!
