SPREAD IT AROUND

We hear the phrase “be kind” a lot these days. But what does that mean? Let’s take a quick look at it.

One of the most important things that God asks us to do is to be kind. That’s the best reason to make sure we are kind to each other. Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind and compassionate to one another.”

Yes! But how? The rest of the verse gives us one hint: “forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Forgiving? That’s a new twist. When someone does something bad to you, Jesus asks us to forgive and that shows kindness to them. After all, God forgives us every day!

Here are some more ideas on how to be kind:

SMILE!

– Let others go first in line or let someone else pick the larger piece of cake.

– Write or draw an encouragement note.

– Help wash the dishes without being asked.

You get the idea! There are so many ways to be kind. Have fun trying to find as out all the ways you can be kind and show God’s love to those around us.

When you focus on yourself less and think of others more, it’s amazing how much better your day goes. God knew what He was talking about when He asks us to be kind.
