Love in Action!
Jesus didnât just talk about loveâHe showed it through everything He did. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, comforted the hurting, and ultimately gave His life for us. Jesus calls us to follow His example by loving others through our actions.
Galatians 5:13 says, âServe one another humbly in love.â Loving your neighbor isnât just about what you say but also about what you do. When you lend a hand, share what you have, or help someone in need, youâre showing the kind of love Jesus showed to us.
Think about the people in your life. Is there someone you can help today? Maybe itâs your parents, who could use some help with chores, or a friend who needs a listening ear. It doesnât have to be something bigâsmall acts of kindness can make a huge difference!
Here are some simple ways to put love into action:
- Do an extra chore. Surprise your family by cleaning up without being asked.
- Be generous. Share your toys, snacks, or anything else you have with someone who doesnât have as much.
- Help a teacher. Offer to carry supplies, straighten up the classroom, or assist a classmate whoâs struggling with their work.
Jesus said, âWhatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for meâ (Matthew 25:40). Every time you help someone, itâs like youâre showing love to Jesus Himself!
What can you do today to show love through your actions? Ask God to guide you to someone who needs your help.
