No Greater Love: Alive and Changing Us

Early on the third day, something amazing happened.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 28:1–10 that some women went to Jesus’s tomb. But when they got there, the stone was rolled away—and Jesus wasn’t there!

He had risen from the dead!

An angel said, “He is not here, for He has risen.” Jesus is alive! Death could not stop Him. Sin could not win. Jesus is stronger than everything.

That means His love is the strongest love of all.

Because Jesus is alive, we don’t have to be afraid of sin or death. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:20–22 that Jesus rose again so we can have life too. When we trust in Him, we are forgiven and given new life forever.

That’s incredible news! But what should we do about it?

God tells us in John 3:16 that whoever believes in Jesus will not perish but have eternal life. That means we need to trust Him—to believe that He died for our sins and rose again.

And when we believe in Him, He transforms us.

The Bible says in 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.” Jesus’s love fills our hearts so we can love others too—for example, by being kind, forgiving others, and helping those in need.

Jesus didn’t just come back to life. He came to give us new life.

That’s why Easter is so important. Jesus is alive forever—and His love changes us forever.

That’s no greater love.
