POTATO CHIPS were a PRANK š
Itās hard to imagine, but some of the most basic and obvious snack foods we eat actually had to be invented at some time.
The story behind potato chips is pretty funny because they were invented because of a prank:
Once there was a rich guy named Cornelius that didnāt like his french fries, so the chef got a little offended and came up with a plan.
Since it was really REALLY Ā rude to eat with your hands, the chef thought it would be a great joke to make food for Cornelius that he COULDNāT eat with a fork and knife and HAD to eat with his hands. He fried up a bunch of thin slices of potatoes and thatās how potato chips were born!
