How to read (and understand!) the Bible for kids

Maybe one of the things you want to do more this year is read and understand the Bible more. The Bible is a big chonky book so it can be a little intimidating to open it up sometimes, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

If there’s one basic tip to understanding the Bible, it’s to slow down and understand the context of what you’re reading.

That means reading what comes before and after the verses you’re studying, and knowing the history of the place and time the verses are written in.

Maybe that sounds hard, but it’s easier than you think, and you’re already using these skills in your life to understand the world around you!
