Does this Lake have CHICKEN POX?
Have you ever seen a lake with chicken pox spots? This lake doesn't actually have spots, but it looks like it does.
Spotted Lake, or Lake Khiluk, has a ton of different minerals that gives its water different colors. In the summer, most of the lake evaporates, leaving small ponds with solid ground surrounding them.
Each little pool of water has different amounts of minerals like calcium or magnesium sulfate, and that's what gives this lake its unique appearance.
Spotted Lake is located in British Columbia, Canada and is a popular place to take videos and pictures of its unique look.
