Because Jesus Loved Us First
Have you ever wondered why Jesus wants us to love our neighbors? The answer is simple: because He loved us first!
The Bible tells us, âWe love because He first loved usâ (1 John 4:19). Godâs love isnât just words; itâs an amazing action.
When we look at Jesusâ life, we see how much He loves us. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave people who had done wrong, and even gave His life on the cross for us.
John 3:16 says, âFor God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.â
Jesus didnât wait for us to be perfect or to earn His love. He loved us even when we made mistakes, and He showed us what perfect love looks like. Because of His great love for us, we can share that love with others, even when itâs hard.
Sometimes, itâs easy to love our family or best friends. But what about the kid at school who says mean things or the neighbor whoâs hard to get along with?
Jesus calls us to love everyone, even those who are hard to love. When we remember how much God loves us, it gives us the patience and forgiveness we need to love others too.
How can you show Jesusâ love to someone today? Maybe itâs forgiving a friend who hurt your feelings, helping a sibling with homework, or praying for someone whoâs struggling. Every act of love is a way to reflect Godâs amazing love to the world!
