Because Jesus Loved Us First

Have you ever wondered why Jesus wants us to love our neighbors? The answer is simple: because He loved us first!

The Bible tells us, “We love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19). God’s love isn’t just words; it’s an amazing action.

When we look at Jesus’ life, we see how much He loves us. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, forgave people who had done wrong, and even gave His life on the cross for us.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus didn’t wait for us to be perfect or to earn His love. He loved us even when we made mistakes, and He showed us what perfect love looks like. Because of His great love for us, we can share that love with others, even when it’s hard.

Sometimes, it’s easy to love our family or best friends. But what about the kid at school who says mean things or the neighbor who’s hard to get along with?

Jesus calls us to love everyone, even those who are hard to love. When we remember how much God loves us, it gives us the patience and forgiveness we need to love others too.

How can you show Jesus’ love to someone today? Maybe it’s forgiving a friend who hurt your feelings, helping a sibling with homework, or praying for someone who’s struggling. Every act of love is a way to reflect God’s amazing love to the world!
