Is your “soul” a ghost?

Do you ever wonder what your “soul” is? When we talk about it, it kinda seems like this thing where if you were a ghost, that’s your soul hanging around.

But to find out what our soul really is, we need to go to God’s Word, the Bible. And it turns out that what we read as our “soul” in the Old Testament is not something ghostly at all!

When you see the word “soul”, it’s often the Hebrew word “nephesh”, and it’s both the word for “throat” and it can also refer to your whole body and sense of who you are.
