How To Find A Good Book

To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday this week we are talking about books, books and more books all week long!

One of the hardest things about reading is finding the right books. There are so many options out there and it can be overwhelming. Where do you begin? And once you find a book is it the right one? You may pick up a book to read and are still unsure about it. What’s in it? Will I like it? Will it be God honoring?

There is help! Check out the web sites below that review books in detail.

Focus on the Family’s Pluggedin.com reviews movies, video games and books. It’s a great resource that you can trust.

Another awesome resource is Redeemed Reader. They read ahead for you so that you can confidently choose books for children and teens.

Still having trouble? You can always try the 5 finger rule. It's a way to help you know if a book is too hard, too easy or just right. Watch the video to see how it works. It's easy!
