The Ocean can SWALLOW Mt Everest!
If you think about places that havenât been explored, maybe you think of the deep jungles of the Amazon or the faraway planets in space. But in some ways, we know more about jungles and space than we do about the ocean!
The ocean covers about 70% of our whole planet, and weâve made maps of only a quarter of that! And thatâs still way more than anybodyâs actually gone down to the bottom and looked at.
But we do know some cool things about how deep the ocean is, like how you can drop Mt Everest into the ocean and not even the top would stick out.
