Is Your Car 300 Years Old?
You probably don’t think too much about riding in the car to go to school or wherever, right?
But did you know, one of the first vehicles that could move on its own was designed over 300 years ago?
A scientist from Europe named Verbiest visited the emperor in China and eventually got to be good friends with him.
Sometime around 1670 he drew up plans for a steam-powered vehicle that didn’t need to be pulled by animals, which was amazing technology at that time!
It’s cool how the stuff we use every day, like cars, goes way back in history.
