Do you have any nicknames? Like say for example your name is Elizabeth Jane Smith, then you might go by âBethâ or âLizâ most of the time; thatâs a nickname. If youâre good at scoring goals in soccer, maybe another nickname would be âThunder Feetâ!
God has different names too, like Jehovah-Jireh, which means âThe Lord Will Provideâ, or Jehovah-Shalom, âThe Lord Our Peaceâ. Those are kinda like nicknames, but Godâs personal name is “Yahweh”.
It means Heâs always existed, and always will; He doesnât depend on anything to keep existing. You know how humans need food and water and shelter to keep living? God doesnât need anything like that.
