Daily Dilemma: Will YOU Defend Your Friend?

Welcome to the today's Daily Dilemma! It's a fictional story where you can decide what the person in the story should do, and make your choice based on the Bible:

The Dilemma

You've just started going to a new school in the middle of the year, and you've had a pretty hard time making friends. There's been one kid that's been friendly and you sat with her at lunch a few times, and you've noticed another group of friends that look like a lot of fun to hang out with.

One day you walk into the lunch room and you see your first friend getting made fun of by that group you had noticed before. Your friend is close to tears.

Will you stand up for your friend against the group making fun of her? If you do, you probably won't be able to make friends with that group anymore. What will you do?

What Does the Bible say?

Here are some verses to think about as you make your decision:

Ephesians 4:29, “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”

Hebrews 10:24, ” Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.”

Psalm 56:3-4a, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you [God]. I trust God, so I am not afraid of what people can do to me!”
