If you’re picking out your first Bible, or your hundredth Bible, what should you look for?

One of the important things to know about a Bible translation is how it got translated from the original languages into English. Did they translate each word and write them down in the same order? Did they take a whole thought and turn it into modern English?

Those are two very different ways to translate and most Bible translations fall somewhere in the middle.
