Your Body is a Temple – Crack the Code Giveaway

What’s the strongest vegetable in the world? Muscle Sprouts! Ha! There is some truth in that.

Remember the old Popeye the Sailor Man cartoon? He would get his strength from eating spinach. Maybe we can learn something here?

Another great example is Daniel and his friends in the Bible. They wouldn’t eat the king’s food because it was against God’s law. What food did they ask for? Not ice cream! They wanted vegetables.

Eating healthy and taking care of your body is important. God tells us our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and to take care of it (I Corinthians 6:19).

That means moving instead of just playing on your screens. That means making sure you get your veggies and fruit every day. That means making sure you don’t stay up too late at night. All those things will help you be stronger than you are right now.

But why? Let’s look at I Corinthians 6:20:

“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price, so glorify God in your body.”

We are called to glorify God, even with our bodies. Our lives should be centered around worshiping and serving our God so that He gets the glory…not us. So let’s fuel our bodies well, get lots of rest and get moving! For the glory of God!

Our song for today is a fun one from The Lads Band, “The Moving Song.” Have fun! Cracking the Code to a great school year can be fun!
