World Record Breaking Backyard Science!

Have you ever had to do a science fair project and you were desperately trying to think of ideas?

I’ve been there. I did a really lame project on decomposition and buried banana peels in my backyard and had to dig them back up again. Pretty gross!

But what if you took a regular science fair project and super sized it like a hundred times bigger?

That pretty much describes Mark Rober’s giant elephant toothpaste experiment. Elephant toothpaste is a chemical reaction that turns a some liquids into a gigantic foam explosion really really fast.

And Mark didn’t do it alone, he got the help of an entire town to break the world record for tallest elephant toothpaste volcano, and he beat the record by nearly 5 times!
