What is A Missionary Kid?
Do you know what a missionary kid is? Maybe you are one of them? A missionary kid is just someone whose parents are missionaries. Simple, huh? Maybe not.
There are pros and cons to being a missionary kid. Life can be exciting and adventurous especially if you are going to a different country. Missionaries always have the best stories and a front row seat to seeing God work. And you sometimes get to learn a new language! How cool is that? Â
But there are some sacrifices too. You have to leave friends and family…a lot. Saying goodbye is hard every time. And after you leave you often have to get used to new places. That’s not always easy.
There are challenges but missionary kids also have very rich lives and often the best of two worlds. Sharing Jesus with others is the most important thing! Don’t forget, you can do that too right where you are. Let’s be missionaries who are kids! Â
