Make Electricity by Playing Soccer

What if you could create one of the most useful things on earth, something billions of people don’t have, just by playing a game?

That useful thing is electricity, and 2 billion people don’t have it. One big thing that means is that when the sun goes down, their day is done, they don’t have lights to see their homework or play games or anything.

But Jessica Matthews invented the Soccket soccer ball, which each time you kick it or roll it by playing soccer, it uses that motion to charge up a battery inside. Then kids can plug a light into the soccer ball at night and that lets them get homework done and learn more in a day!
