Birds can be very dangerous to airplanes and can cause very big problems when they run into them. The birds can get sucked into the engines and cause the plane to crash!
That's why this airport employs a dog to protect planes from that very thing!
Meet Piper! A dog whose purpose is to scare away the birds around the airport so the birds don't get near planes taking off or landing.
But Piper doesn't have to rely on only his four legs to get around the big airfield, he's trained to jump out of a moving car when the door opens and chase away the birds!
